Lisa Duncan spent over twenty-five years in the fashion industry: as a European and American Designer Collection buyer with Nordstrom; as the owner of three designer specialty boutiques in Texas; as the national sales manager for a Denmark fashion accessory company; and Vice President of North American merchandising for an Australian clothing firm. She is passionate about retailing and enjoyed every minute of her exciting career. Whether buying extraordinary apparel or merchandising the goods for sale she truly loved the skills required to entice a customer to buy; and daily rose to those challenges with great ingenuity.

Lisa then opened Duncan & Duncan Enterprises and began to share her vast experience through consulting and inspiring keynotes. She also presents seminars on the following topics: The Art of Retailing: A Peddler with Panache®; Service with a Smile: Using the Golden Rule for Superior Customer Service®; and Investment Dressing: Professional Presence through Attire®. Lisa believes the best retailers stick to the basics so she teaches these nuts and bolts; that superior customer service is the only way to beat the Internet; and that dressing appropriately in the workplace can get you noticed in such a positive way that your career may advance because of it.

Her diverse clientele includes a wide variety of both large and small specialty retailers; international gift and apparel markets; resort communities; main street projects across the United States; banks, title companies, government agencies, colleges, and workforce centers; and a large network of realtors.

Lisa also founded an organization called BOWS Across America®—Bracing Others With Support—to help the victims of the 9-11-01 attacks on our country. The organization sent the New York Fire 9-11 Relief Fund over $25,000.00 by making and selling fabric flag bow pins. Her story was published in “Chicken Soup for the Soul of America” and aired on the NBC daytime TV show “Life Moments,” September 9th of 2002. Today bows are made for our servicemen and women, and their families, fighting the war on terrorism. Lisa asks you never to forget how each and every one of us can make a difference!
